STYLE
- CFMOTO’S European styling team has been tasked with designing the smooth lines of the 700CL-X Heritage, and some of the nice touches include the tank-wrapping aluminium side panels, retro-inspired round headlight, light multi-spoke alloy wheels and the Pirelli MT60 dual-purpose tyres.
ERGONOMICS
- The ‘rider triangle’ on the 700CL-X has been optimised for a relaxed riding position, with the upright handlebars and 800mm seat height vital parts of the comfort matrix. The riding position offers a fantastic position for scanning traffic, particularly in an urban setting.

SUSPENSION
- The high-spec KYB suspension has 150mm travel, with full adjustment on the 41mm upside-down fork and preload/ compression on the rear – plenty of adjustability whether you’re one-up or hosting a pillion.
ENGINE
- Compared to the LAMS-legal 650 range, the 700CL-X ups the ante by an extra 18hp (13kW) and 6Nm. Other technical highlights for the updated powerplant include Bosch fuel-injection, split connecting rods, and forged pistons for strength and reduced weight and inertia.
- Slipper clutch helps reduce rear-wheel chatter when downshifting through the free-revving engine.
