Engines were warmed, throttles were twisted, and dormant clutches were dropped on the eagerly anticipated revival of the CFMOTO DAY at the Zhuzhou International Circuit last weekend. A gathering of more than 1500 native and international CFMOTO owners and enthusiasts, guests, partners and media rode and assembled at the impressive circuit in Hunan province, China for a full-on carnival of activities, partying and celebration of biking. The event made an enormously successful return to prominence after a three-year hiatus and CFMOTO used the occasion to unveil three brand new models that will soon hit the market.

Key facts about the 2023 CFMOTO DAY:

– The meeting at the Zhuzhou International Circuit drew an excitable crowd and packed almost 1500 people into the first edition since 2019.

– Customers, fans, riders, guests of all ages, partners and media come to Zhuzhou for a track parade and racing, off-road experiences, a live open-air music show, evening DJ sets, activities like simulators and competitions, and riding tips and tuition sessions.

– CFMOTO present three brand new motorcycles: 150SC (a cool-looking scooter from the new SC Scooter series promoting ease, practicality, comfort and fun), the 500SR and the 675SR (two larger displacements models to expand the high-performance sport range and 500SR with Four-cylinder, 675SR with Three-cylinder engine platforms).

 – CFMOTO launched the CFMOTO Talent Trophy, firing-up this October, with the best resources across the company injected into this new development scheme for Chinese youth riders to transition to European series with a CFMOTO base camp and aim for the top level of MotoGP world championship racing.

The gates swung outwards for the 2023 CFMOTO DAY and the spectacular sight of 300 people circulating the 2.3mile track on a mix of machinery was the ideal way to speed into proceedings. The riders came from a wide spectrum of ages and abilities, steering bikes from 150cc to 1250cc displacements and with CFMOTO SSVs to lend a few extra wheels to the parade show. The crescendo of engine noise and expectation blasted into a full agenda of activities: track sessions, stunt shows thanks to the daring gifts of Hu Hai, ATV off-road experiences and a special track for youth riders to get free and happy with their right hands on the gas thanks to CFORCE110, EV110, CX-5E models (when they were not distracted by the Entertainment Zones, MotoGP and Moto3 Simulators, live music throughout the afternoon and the “Gymkhana” exploits of the EMT National Finals; reps from nine areas of China turfed the infield with their free-flowing turning, scrubbing and slalom skills).

The festivities had already begun with some important and unexpected announcements. During the opening ceremony, CFMOTO whipped the covers from three new entrants to the motorcycling family. The first “debutant” was the 150SC from the freshly created SC range where the practical needs of commuting meet ideal leisure use; all with a fun-loving image. The highlights of the scooter included powerful output, superb fuel economy, large storage space.

CFMOTO then hiked up the pace and seriousness with the amplification of the SR supersport line. The SR series has earned rave reviews for the focus on track-derived performance, head-turning design, bold technical specs and extreme fun and emotion. The 250SR set the bar in 2019 and the 450SR raised it further in 2022.

The 500SR is an equally purposeful motorcycle and a pure expression of the “SR” sporting spirit. So much so in fact that the four-cylinder (with multiple innovations such as a new Ram air intake) was secretly developed by CFMOTO high-performance department 3 years ago. 500SR applied the cutting-edge technologies like Forged Aluminum Pistons, Stretch-Bolt Connecting Rods and Low Inertia Crankshaft. It can effortlessly reach the speed over 230 km/h. it is a world-class four-cylinder Sport bike that is originally developed by us.

Now, in 2023, the engine delivers over 100 horsepower per cylinder and over 100 N·m per liter torque, to be exact, in the case of the 675SR. The bike has been built around CFMOTO’s new three-cylinder concept of impeccable standards and engineering processes. The monstrous delivery to the rear wheel is accompanied by other first-class features when it comes to brakes, chassis, equipment, design and all aspects needed for a thrilling ride on the road and a sharp tool for the track.

All these new models that debut in CFMOTO DAY will be launched in different markets respectively.

CFMOTO’s passion for motorsports means they have targeted the globe-trotting spectacle of MotoGP both in 2022 and 2023 and with a long-term plan to establish the company’s name – and Chinese engineering – at the top of world championship competition. The CFMOTO PruestelGP Moto3 team is now the peak of a burgeoning sporting program. At the CFMOTO DAY, the firm presented the CFMOTO Talent Trophy to promote and inspire young “wannabe” racers to realize their dreams on the asphalt and maybe one day reach Grand Prix. CFMOTO talked about plans to use the fruits of their R&D, their event specialists and growing knowledge of racing to help the crop of youngsters that will emerge from the first edition in September. The selected few will also benefit from the expertise of CFMOTO’s European race base to learn the very best lessons and hopefully become the next generation of Chinese motorsport stars to make the grade.
